Jaguar has created a one-off special edition version of its new F-TYPE Coupe, which will be used as a support vehicle on an upcoming stage of the Tour de France this weekend.
The model is product of Jaguar’s new Special Vehicle Operations division, which has most recently worked on the limited-run Project Seven vehicle, and which handles bespoke requests from the marque’s more demanding customers.
This F-TYPE will be used by Team Sky to support riders on the individual time-trial event that makes up the penultimate stage of the tour. It’s based on flagship R Coupe model and features a 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 at its heart, but comes with a number of modifications specific to the event.
